This branch was not our direct line, Isaac1618-72, brother of my GGGGGGGgrandfather was born at Cockroft and started to farm here.
James Holroyd of above chart, won 1st prize for his cow at Wetaskiwin,Agricultural Show 1915 , Canada
The postcard on the right was sent to Mr Charles Dewhurst,who was married to Emily Holroyd,my fathers aunt,sister of Barton Ernest of Pitts Farm. He wrote the following,dated october14th 1915.
Dear Friend, I guess it's Rip Fair today,but not as many shown like these.I am still in the pink. Best regards to all inquiring friends, Yours Truly, Jim Holroyd
